Acting on behalf of the growing independent department store chain Browns of York, msbl has acquired new premises in Beverley.
Adding to the chain’s existing stores in York and Helmsley, the new 10,000 sq ft (929 sq m) Browns is located in Beverley’s Saturday Market, Beverley.
Browns has taken a new 15-year lease at a rent equating to approximately £18.00 per sq ft (£193 per sq m).

As part of an expansion drive across the UK, retained agent msbl has acquired a new flagship store in Manchester’s St Ann's Square for upmarket sailing and fashion retailer Henri Lloyd.
The new store - unit 4, Acresfield - is in the heart of Manchester's most prestigious shopping area. Located between King Street, Deansgate and Exchange Square, St Ann's Square provides Henri Lloyd with the perfect location to support its future plans.
The unit comprises of a ground floor sales area of 1,500 sq ft (139 sq m) with a further 730 sq ft (68 sq m) mezzanine level. Henri Lloyd has taken a new 10-year lease from landlord Schroders at a rent of £160,000 per annum. A substantial capital contribution was paid.

Arcadia 450,000 sq ft Cambridge development

The Grand Arcade Partnership (GAP) – a joint venture between Grosvenor and Universities Superannuation Scheme (USS) – has announced the first phase of signings for its 450,000 sq ft Cambridge Grand Arcade development, the first major scheme in Cambridge for more than 30 years and which opens in spring 2008.
Arcadia will take a 25,000 sq ft flagship store for its leading edge Topshop and Topman brands. The store will be the second largest in the development, allowing Arcadia to significantly increase the space currently occupied by Topman and Topshop on Petty Cury in Cambridge. The two brands will share the unit making use of retail floor space on three levels with mall presence on both the ground and first floors.
The deal with Arcadia also includes a 4,000 sq ft unit for Wallis which will be located on Grand Arcade’s upper floor.
